Ellen Levine Dodd’s abstract art work of expressive and evocative compositions is infused with color harmonies and energetic shapes. The subtle stories hidden within the layers of paint and other mark making are waiting to be discovered by the viewer.
Born In a small New England beach town near Boston, Massachusetts, Ellen has been making art for as long as she can remember. She has had a comprehensive formal education in painting, photography and fine art printing, studying with many well-known painters, photographers and printers. Her work has been influenced by her extensive travels throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East as well as her love of nature. The work, though visually abstract, retains a reference to the landscape, and man’s place and feelings living within the natural and man-made world.
