Fees: No fee to submit. Artists are responsible for delivering or shipping art to and from the
gallery if the piece does not sell. If art sells 50% will go to the artist and 50% to the gallery and the buyer pays for shipping to their location.
Entries Accepted: April 15, 2026 Through May 1, 2026 Late entries will not be accepted.
Art Delivery to Gallery: May 24 and May 25, 2026 between the hours of 10am and 6pm.
Event Dates: June 1, 2026 – June 25, 2026
Artists Reception: Saturday June 6th 4:00pm to 8:00PM
Art Pick Up: June 26 – June 30, 2026 (After June 30 a storage fee will apply*)
Gallery Sausalito invites artists 18 years or older to submit to our June 2026 group exhibit. All techniques are welcome. Work can be abstract or representational. Art will be judged on quality of execution. All work submitted should be acceptable for viewing by all ages including children.
Work that does not adhere to all guidelines will not be accepted.
Theme: We have a theme this year SWEET. “Sweet” refers to a primary taste sensation caused by sugar, or describes something pleasing, charming, or fresh. It is used to describe food, kind people, or, slangily, as a term for something excellent. It also refers to the 1970s British glam rock band known for hits like “Ballroom Blitz”. What does sweet mean to you?
Work Media: All art must be DRY and ready to securely hang on the wall. No saw-tooth hangers will be accepted. All media is acceptable including; painting, mixed media, photography, ceramics, assemblage, and fiber art. If your work is photography or digital art prints will be accepted. Digital prints/giclee of paintings, drawings or mixed media will not be accepted.
Work Size: The outside dimension of the art must measure 12”x12” framed or unframed. There is not a depth maximum or minimum, but the work must be hung directly on the wall without any additional preparation by the gallery. Maximum weight is 15 pounds.
Please note – your work will not be accepted if it is larger or smaller than 12”x12”.
Entry Requirements: Please do not submit art that has been shown previously in a gallery or any other venue outside of your studio. Art must adhere to all requirements or it will not be accepted.
Send your submission to art@gallerysausalito.com with a subject line “ART SUBMISSION FOR
JUNE EXHIBIT” include the following with your email submission.
- Your full name, physical mailing address, phone number.
- Maximum of 3 different art pieces. If your work is 3D you may include more than one view of each piece. Images should be presented in RGB, JPEG format, high resolution and the size should be approximately 4″ x 6″ or 2 to 4 megabytes.
- Artist resume including biography, educational background, and exhibition record.
- Retail price of the art.
Notification to Artist: All artists will receive an email notification of acceptance or rejection no later than May 5, 2026
Accepted/Received Artwork: Art must adhere to all guidelines and be of the same quality as the digital submission. All art must be signed by the artist. All art must be available for sale. If you have shipped your art please include a document with your full name, phone number, email address, retail price. Gallery Sausalito reserves the right to reject any work that does not adhere to all gallery standards and submission requirements.
Gallery Sausalito is not responsible for any damage or loss when art is in transit.

If the work is shipped the shipping container must be sturdy enough to be reused.
Promotion: Gallery Sausalito will promote the event on social media, via emails to our collectors and in select online and print publications. Artists are highly encouraged to promote the show to their friends and collectors and to tag the gallery on social media.
Unsold Artwork Pick Up: June 26 – June 30, 2026 (After June 30 a storage fee will apply*)
Un-sold Shipped back to the artist using the original packing materials. The artist is responsible for shipping fees. You will be informed of the Fedex charge and can send payment via check, VENMO or ZELLE. *If art is not picked up by June 30, 2026 a daily storage fee of $10.00 will apply and the payment will be required before the art is released.
Sales: The artist will be paid 50% of the retail price set by the artist. Artist will receive the
payment by VENMO or ZELLE within 30 days of the close of the show. If you live outside of the
US and do not have either VENMO or ZELLE the artist will be responsible for wire transfer fees. If your commission payment is $600. or more a 1099 form will need to be completed before you receive payment. The 1099 form will be provided to you upon notification of the sale.
